Will Smith smacking Chris Rock wasn’t the only striking element of the 2022 Oscars. The 94-year-old event was home to many celebrities showcasing custom designer and high fashion looks. Some stars even took the time to address current events while showcasing elegance while others used the opportunity to challenge fashion norms. Celebrities got the chance to grace two scenes: at the Oscar red carpet and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Here’s how they did!

Billie Eilish
The now three-time Oscar winner wore a dramatic black Gucci frock filled with ruffles and we can’t forget the matching platform leather boots. She is the second-youngest recipient of the Best Original Song award and the youngest person to win three awards for the same film.

Wesley Snipes
The 59-year-old legendary actor stepped out in a monochromatic burgundy suit. Instead of the traditional pants suit, Snipes pulled off shorts and leggings with the complimentary fitted suit jacket and bow tie. He kept the accessories simple with a floral lapel pin, simple hoop earrings, and a pair of shiny black sneakers.

Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion made a Hot Girl entrance on her first Oscar red carpet. She was seen in a blue fitted strapless gown with a stomach cutout, high slit, and flowing train. Megan topped it off with silver jewelry and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Jamie Lee Curtis
Jamie Lee Curtis showed support for Ukrainian refugees with a blue ribbon on her left hand. Her dazzling navy blue dress is from Stella McCartney, a designer that specializes in sustainability. Curtis presented an award to the late Betty White and used her dress as a tribute to White’s most notable show “Golden Girls”.

Kodi Smit-McPhee
The 25-year-old actor in ‘The Power of the Dog’ nominated for Best Supporting Actor wore a pale blue Bottega Veneta suit with matching pastel boots. His accessories were just as stunning as his tuxedo; he was dripping in diamonds on his choker, stud earrings and Cartier watch with diamonds falling into a leopard design.

Maggie Gyllenhaal
The actress received a nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category for her director debut for “The Lost Daughter.” She wore Schiaparelli Haute Couture black column gown with statement gold accents across the front and sleeves and a scoop, off-the-shoulder neckline.
