This year’s New York fashion week was filled with metallics, bows, and monochromatic looks for spring and summer 2024. These designers show us that this upcoming spring and summer will be the most colorful yet. Here are NYFW highlights that should be on your radar:
Collina Strada FW24

Models clenched their fists and forced smiles as they walked with tattered clothing. The idea behind this was the sense of doom many feel with the rise of AI. As the brand used AI to help design the clothing for this collection. Along with the tattered clothing flowing skirts, matching suits, and spiked flats. This is one collection that you won’t forget.
Helmut Lang FW23

The show was filled with excellent tailoring and an interesting color scheme of reds, hot pinks, and mustard yellows. The collection had a minimalist yet futuristic look that Helmut Lang is known for. The collection also incorporated graphic tees and fun prints added to jeans and jackets. Helmut Lang was definitely a stand-out for NYFW.
Kim Shui FW24
Photos via TagwalkKim Shui brought beautiful silhouettes and colors to New York Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by the designer’s childhood in Italian mixed with her Asian heritage. Beautiful corsets were shown throughout the collection showing that the corset trend will not be going out of style anytime soon. Many of the looks were full of beautiful satin pieces and sequin detailing. Kim Shui is definitely a brand to look out for during fashion week.
Ralph Lauren FW24

The denim has always been a staple to the brand and this recent collection had lots of printed floral denim. The collection had jewel-toned fabric and gold metallic everywhere. Even having their iconic polo shirt in metallic gold. This Ralph Lauren collection also had their signature logo belts and top handle bags which seems to be the bag trend for spring 2024.
Sandy Liang FW24

This collection proudly displayed Liang’s signature style of feminine and delicate clothing. The collections bring a nostalgia for girlhood in a fun and whimsical way. With the oversized bows to the satin ballet flats. The idea for the collection was to represent a young girl trying to escape reality. In Liang’s mind, the more ill-fitting the clothes the more beautiful it is. The brand’s creativity and signature look always make it a highlight for fashion week.
