Boutique Overview

T.a. is a black-owned business located in the Meatpacking District of New York City marketed to the women-identifying community. T.a. is a luxury boutique that sells up-and-coming brands like Kepler London, Ottolinger, and Simon Miller as well as established designer brands like Christopher Esber, Christopher John Rogers, and Baum und Pferdgarten. T.a. specializes is selling eclectic and exciting clothing that is unique to each person’s style.

Owner, Telsha Anderson-Boone, opened this boutique during the COVID-19 pandemic, taking a huge risk. The store has proved to be successful and thrives on Anderson-Boone’s personal taste. Anderson-Boone hand picks the pieces seen in-store and online, as well as the store design. T.a. is a place that sells statement pieces and is meant to excite its shoppers. The brands in the concept store have been personally sourced from around the world, so you know that it is special. T.a. brings a new aesthetic to the manufactured Meatpacking District.

Owner Bio

Telsha Anderson-Boone has loved fashion since she was young. She has pursued this passion throughout college and, now, in her professional career. Since graduating from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in communications and retail management, Telsha Anderson-Boone went on to obtain a Master’s degree in brand management at New York University. Anderson-Boone has always wanted to be apart of the fashion industry and has found a clever way to integrate herself into the space. She started t.a. amid the COVID-19 pandemic and created a unique concept store.

The store’s colorful walls and enthralling clothing brings a new feeling the the manufactured Meatpacking District. This brick-and-mortar draws in customers due to Anderson-Boone’s quality taste. According to Anderson-Boone, she is “the clean-up crew, the cashier rep, the salesperson, the buying team, and the social media girl.” In other words, she is the magic behind the store, growing her business. It is no wonder why her store has become such a quick success. Everything in the store she would wear herself, and she picks brands with strong identities that lift up the community she has created. T.a. is a safe environment for shopping, talking, exploring, and learning.
