Edvin Thompson is the Jamaican-born designer behind Theophilio, a contemporary clothing brand based in Brooklyn New York. Combining nostalgia from his juvenile days in Jamaica meeting New York City’s progressive culture; Theophilio is a wearable biography. Launched in 2016 during NYFW, he has fully emerged as a creator. From humble beginnings, the use of upcycling clothing has been essential in implementing the brand's ideology. As an immigrant himself, Edvin Thompson is here to promote their voices and visibility. His mission is to continue establishing social gatherings of participation and representation from innumerable cultured identities, that will continue strengthening social inclusion and diversity through his designs.
