Jacquemus AW21

IMG_3052.jpg

Dawning the end of June, Simon Porte Jacquemus was eager to put on an extravagant runway show for his Fall Ready-to-Wear line, known as La Montagne (French for “the mountain”). It was incredibly intentional that Jacquemus designed this show to take place in a film studio, placing emphasis on the performance of a runway show. And, the namesake of the collection coincides with the explorative styles that we see this year.

Porte Jacquemus didn’t box himself into the athleisure category, however, it is evident that these ready-to-wear items are suitable for luxurious “Montagne” navigation. The masterful designer created a collection that flows like a rainbow, with seamless transitions between color palettes ranging from white to pink to black.

Without further ado, scope our favorite looks from this show below.

Our Favorite Looks

Look 5

This look plays with cutouts and shape, in a delicate yellow-green.

Look 7

Fur played a big role in the AW 21 collection, as seen by the slides and handbag in Look 7.

Look 9

This cottage-core-esque style looks warm and hardy, ready for la montagne life.

Look 14

Shifting over to the brighter primary colors during these looks, we see hiking boots paired with a floral puffer and some small framed shades.

Look 20

This hot pink look is so hot—with a flattering and minimalist silhouette, this look is very on-brand for Jacquemus.

Look 28

Similar to look 9, these pants roll over at the waist which catches the eye. Look 28 is all about detail, with accent colors of mint green and brown.

Look 36

Like the background of the studio that the collection was shown in, this look centers on blue hues and a bright green, two colors that complement each other well. The fitted trousers with the tiny bag are very true to the designer’s style.

Look 45

The Jacquemus AW 21 collection wouldn’t be complete without biker shorts, right? These shorts are paired with a color-block heavy knit sweater and two bags!

Look 50

The second floral puffer of the show, this one looks suitable for a colder temperature, from the heavy trousers to the over-the-thumb sleeves of the undershirt.

Look 54

Following in the monochrome footsteps of the entire collection, Look 54 is all about structure.
