It’s time to talk about the aesthetic activism that defines the Black-owned brand, K.NGSLEY. Kingsley Gbadegesin is a New-York based designer of Nigerian-American roots whose art pursues the liberation of the Black community, the Queer community, and People of Colour. At the heart of the K.NGSLEY brand are people-placemaking, social identity, and dynamic change. Gbadegesin’s art reverberates that drum-roll of social injustices for minority people. Building upon his own experience at fashion powerhouses Versace, Celine, and Loewe, Gbadegesin’s expertise make fashion a symbol to “reclaim and redefine the Black, Queer, Femme body and to create the tangible, direct support communities" need today”.
