Inside Frank Ocean’s New Jewelry Line: Homer

In recent news, early this August, canonical musician and singer Frank Ocean dove into the fashion world for the first time. Specifically, the artist created his own independent luxury jewelry line known as Homer. Ocean bore this line and its namesake with deliberation—the goal in mind being to create physical art that told a story, like a history. Thus, we see the launch of Homer.

Homer is a small brick and mortar located in New York City on the Bowery. However, while it is open Monday through Saturday to the public, the store does require appointments. According to Homer.com, walk-in appointments are now an option for customers. In viewing Frank Ocean’s website for Homer, it doesn’t take long to recognize that Ocean clearly aims for the storefront to be the primary location for consumption and browsing, instead of virtually.

At a first glance, Homer as a jewelry line is very on-brand for Frank Ocean’s aesthetic. When most people think of Frank Ocean, we think of bright auras and Homer fits right into that. With a variety of pieces to choose from, ranging from unique pendants to colorful earrings, there is so much character to this line. All the same, the jewelry is beautifully crafted and luxurious.

On Homer.com, customers are able to browse through a digital magazine that features ads for the pieces in the collection. The virtual design touch is eye-catching and a unique marketing design that we love. The catalog details the makeup of each piece, which shows off the true elegance of the work that Frank Ocean has done with his jewelry line.
