Designer Bio
Cristina Martinez is an Afro-Latina contemporary artist based in Seattle, Washington. Her passion for visual art was born during an epiphany in fashion school, where she realized that she enjoyed drawing art pieces more than she did sewing clothing. Since then, she’s painted a multitude of intriguing pieces ranging from self-portraits to abstracts and is well-known for her portrayal of life through flowers.
She cites her mother and Frida Kahlo as the major inspirations for her work.
